A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I have a double degree in Translation and Interpreting, thanks to my bilingual status (and the extra effort of taking twice as much subjects during my degree). I also am a Sworn Translator, thanks to having passed the required examination at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I have extensive complementary training, and you can find more about that at my LinkedIn, should you be interested.

I have been working as a freelance translator since the late nineties, and I like it very much. It allows me to help companies and people who, unexpectedly, find themselves lost with endless procedures, in a country that is not their own and in a language they do not understand. And, thanks to the interaction with diverse cultures, realities and procedures, every day I learn and improve on a personal and professional level.

In addition to the quality and reliability of my work, the seriousness and promptness of the service, and my experience, I also consider empathy an important aspect when dealing with my clients. Iin my opinion, putting myself in their shoes, understanding their situation, what they are looking for, what they need and why is extremely useful to offer the best service.

Sworn translation and interpreting sometimes confronts you with very harsh realities, it is really complicated and demanding, but I also find it stimulating and a challenge.
